What is domestic violence?
Domestic violence is defined as acts of physical, sexual and
emotional abuse between persons in intimate relationships or among
family/household members living together or previously living together.
Examples
Physical- hitting, slapping, choking, shoving
Emotional- threats, isolation, insults, name calling
Sexual- unwanted sexual contact, rape, incest
Financial- withholding money, obsessive control over spending
Neglect- poor physical or emotional care
